•Open to community members and researchers from any country (except those eligible for NVE)
•An academic degree is not required, but the application must provide evidence that the applicant can achieve the stated goals
Native Voices Endowment
•ELF provides grants for eligible languages through the Native Voices Endowment: A Lewis & Clark Expedition Bicentennial Legacy. These funds come from the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Council, which received the revenues from the U.S. Mint's sale of the Lewis and Clark 2004 Commemorative Coin.
Sharing Language Diversity Fellowship
• Meant to support the research of Ph.D. students who have completed two years of study in a graduate program in Linguistics and related disciplines, and who are engaged in the documentation of Indigenous languages and the archiving of linguistic data as part of their PhD graduate studies.
CoLang
•CoLang is an opportunity for community language activists, linguists, and students of linguistics to receive training in skills needed to document, maintain, and/or revitalize minority languages.
ELF-UNESCO Paris Traineeship
•ELF annually seeks a dedicated and pasionate sponsored trainee to join UNESCO’s Education team at the Paris headquarters.
•This traineeship offers a unique opportunity for Indigenous/Aboriginal individuals to gain hands-on experience and contribute to UNESCO's mission in education and language preservation.
