ELF Project Spotlight #1

7/2/2016

"Documentation and Description of Syriem"

The Endangered Language Fund is proud to have supported this 2012 Language Legacies project, which documented a previously unknown language of India, Syriem. In addition to documentation, the project collected stories, oral histories, and verbal arts; worked on an orthography for the language; and generally worked to promote the status of the language among the community.
